Life at My Little Preschool

Real experiences make learning stick.

Children measure, grow, notice, create, cooperate and care. The experience may feel playful; the learning inside it is rich.

Learning through real experiences

Everyday life becomes a curriculum.

Cooking

Recipes are full of learning.

Apam balik, pancakes, lemang, tacos and fried noodles become opportunities to count, sequence, describe and take responsibility.

  • Measuring → Mathematics
  • Following steps → Sequencing
  • Cutting & pouring → Fine motor
  • Ingredients → Language
  • Cleaning up → Responsibility
Gardening & composting

Fruit peel → Bio bin → Compost → Plants

Children see cycles of change and understand that caring for the environment begins with daily choices.

Science exploration

Observe before explaining.

Children notice patterns, make predictions, test ideas and talk about what changed.

Practical life

Small tasks build real confidence.

Pouring, sorting, preparing, cleaning and caring strengthen coordination, focus and independence.

Cultural experiences

Belonging in a diverse community.

Hari Raya, Dragon Boat Festival, Merdeka, Mid-Autumn, Deepavali and Christmas open conversations about traditions and people.

Learning beyond school

The community is a classroom.

Visits such as the fire station, farm, petting zoo and community walks help children connect ideas with real places and people.

Our family culture

We choose connection over competition.

Instead of centring school life on a traditional Sports Day, our whole-school Family Day staycation creates time for children, parents and teachers to play, communicate and make memories together.
